The summer school census day on Thursday 18 January is fast approaching – you must submit your returns via COLLECT by 25 January 2018.
What you need to do
You will be given access to COLLECT on census day and should make sure you remove all errors from your school's return.
Only queries that are correct should remain in your return, and you must write to the Data Analysis Team at firstname.lastname@example.org explaining why any queries are correct. The team will then add notes to your return and the errors can be passed by the Department for Education. The team do not see any notes added to your own system, only those added to COLLECT. Get in touch with them if you are unsure about any of the errors and queries before submitting your return.
As part of the authorisation process, your headteacher is expected to check the census summary and the details reports. By uploading the return, it is being acknowledged that your headteacher is happy with the data in the return.
