Schools Email - Office 365

Please note this service will be discontinued from 31 March 2020

Schools are advised to begin to take the following steps in preparation.

Global Administrator account

Please ensure that you have a Global Administrator account, so you can manage their school domain in the Admin Portal.

Many schools receiving the service already have an account, but if not or if you are not sure of your details, you can email the ICT Service Desk from your Office or Headteacher account and we can send them.

Technical Contact email address

You will need to change the Technical Contact email address in the School Organization Profile tab. You will need to decide where to have information sent if you raise any calls with Microsoft Technical Support.

Change personal details

You will need to update personal details on the Global Administrator account. This will ensure if the admin password is forgotten it can be reset.

You will be able to receive verification codes to an alternate mobile number and email address (not in the domain) to whatever email address or mobile number you decide to use.

Details regarding the Schools Office 365 Subscription are also sent to this email address.

Please NOTE this is very important as it can take a while for Microsoft to respond and verify who the school is before resetting the Global Administrator password.

Recommendation is to have more the one Global Administrator Account and that you should speak to their ICT Support regarding any issues.

Technical Contact Email Address

Schools need to change the Technical Contact email address in the School Organization Profile tab. They will need to decide where to have information sent if they raise any calls with Microsoft Technical Support.

Login with Admin account and on the Admin Home page click on School Name and the page below will be displayed. Click on Edit to update details.

Change Personal Details

Schools need to update their personal details on their Admin Account.

This will ensure if they forget their admin password they are able to reset.

NOTE update Alternate email with alternative email address outside of School Domain.

Details regarding the Schools Office 365 Subscription are also sent to the alternative email address.

Top right-hand corner click on ES in this example and then select -> My Account.

Then Select -> Personal Info
