Solar Panels procedure for OCC schools

Guidance Document for Solar Photo Voltaic (PV) Panels on Schools – January 2015

Oxfordshire County Council is supportive of schools undertaking Solar PV projects, in line with its commitments to reduce carbon emissions as part of Oxfordshire 2030, and as a way for schools to reduce their energy costs.

Solar Panels can also provide a visible demonstration of a school’s green ethos and be used as a learning tool for pupils.

The  document below is aimed at OCC owned schools and OCC leased academies. Schools owned by other parties should contact the building owner to confirm the process required to consent to solar panels:
