Pupil Tracking

Advice to schools and partner agencies on pupils who leave school without a confirmed destination

The Pupil Tracking Officer works with schools to identify children and young people who have left a school without a confirmed destination. They liaise with partner agencies and other local authorities, firstly to establish the family’s new address, and then to ensure that a school application is made and the young person moves into new educational provision.

Below you will find links to our procedures and to the current DfE guidance:

Pupil Registration Regulations 2016

These regulations have created new requirements for schools to report pupils starting and leaving. Please see below a letter setting out details of the new requirements and forms for making the new returns.
